Overview

In Banyan, a Content Policy enforces what types of content a user is blocked from accessing. Content policies are defined by the following:

• types of content being blocked
• exceptions, and
• additional configurations.

Once a content policy is saved, it can be assigned to other entities in Banyan, such as a user & device, a web service, a public application, etc.

Banyan supports the following types of content policies:

• Internet Threat Protection (ITP) Policies - to protect users from malicious websites, ransomware, or phishing attacks by examining internet traffic
• Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Policies - to prevent users from unintentionally exposing organizational data
